Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5, 1956, in Woodland Hills California. Her father taught school and her mom was a homemaker. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick began dancing and singing in her early years and often performed plays with puppets for the kids in her community. McCormick won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was contacted through Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to work in the business of show production. McCormick got her first job as a major actress in 1964. She starred in a commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for The Wind It Up and It's Breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the eldest daughter of the three towheaded girls in The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. In it she revealed that McCormick nearly lost her virginity on the set of the series during its fifth season to Barry Williams. She was 16 years old at the time while he was. It was likely that we would have a romantic romance, she said. The timing, however, wasn't right.
