In America The early performing arts accomplishments of young Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely have put her in the prodigy child category. For a child with Irish heritage, and surrounded as her by talented parents and family members was naturally gifted, it came as a natural. Maureen entered this loving refuge located in Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th, 1920. Marguerita L. FitzSimons was a successful contralto. His father, Charles FitzSimons, managed the business of Dublin and also owned part of the renowned Irish soccer team "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons is the 2nd daughter from Charles FitzSimons. Peggy FitzSimons, Florrie Fitzsimons Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons rounded out this wonderful family. Maureen was a great athlete and participated in rough, competitive games as a child. This interest was combined with an unnatural talent for performing. In the end, she was awarded almost all of the Feis Awards for acting and dramatic performances in her country of birth. When she turned 14, the Abbey Theater accepted her and allowed her to live out her dream in classical theater and singing opera.
