Dwayne Douglas

Dwayne Doug Johnson (also known by the name The Rock) was born in Hayward on May 2, 1972. Ata Johnson (born Feagaimaleata Lenaya Maivia) as well as Rocky Johnson (born Wayde Bowles) are his parents. His father Dwayne was born in Amherst (Nova Scotia), Canada. His mother is Samoan and her father is Peter Fanene Maivia. Dwayne spent his childhood traveling a lot and seeing his father perform in the wrestling arena. Dwayne played football throughout the high school. He was soon granted a full scholarship from the University of Miami. There, he enjoyed tremendous success. Dwayne was injured in his back and was unable to play as a player in the NFL.
